Clients
Booking
without guessing.
Start with a vision, get real proposals, and book the artist who fits the work.
01How does INK'D work after I submit an idea?
You describe the tattoo, including style, placement, size, budget, timeline, and references. Artists who fit the request can respond with concept, pricing, and availability. You compare the proposals side by side, then book the one that feels right.
02Do I need to know exactly what I want before I start?
No. A clear direction is enough. The request flow asks for the basics and lets you add reference images or describe the idea in your own words. More detail helps, but you do not need a finished design before artists see the request.
03Can I request a specific artist?
Yes. From an artist profile, use the booking button and your request routes to that artist first. If you do not have a preference, INK'D uses your answers to match the request with artists who fit the style, placement, budget, and timeline.
04Do I need an account before making a request?
You can start the request before creating an account. When the request is ready, you log in or create an account so the request can stay tied to your profile and you can see proposals in your dashboard.
05How do pricing and deposits work?
Your budget helps filter the match. Artists respond with their pricing and availability before you commit. When you choose a proposal, the deposit locks the session; the remaining balance is handled after the appointment path in INK'D.
06What if an artist is not ready to accept bookings?
INK'D only enables deposit booking once the artist can accept charges and payouts. If an artist is still finishing payment setup, their profile can be visible, but checkout stays unavailable until setup is complete.
07How does client referral credit work?
You can share your referral link right away. Credit posts only after the friend finishes a qualifying first appointment and the payment clears. Signups alone do not unlock credit.
Artists
Getting
booked cleanly.
The profile, proposal, payment, and referral questions that decide whether a lead turns into a real booking.
01How do clients find me on INK'D?
Clients can browse your public profile, book from your artist page, or submit a general request that matches your style and location. The strongest profile has clear portfolio work, accurate styles, useful rates, and a direct description of your approach.
02What do I need to create an artist account?
The artist signup asks for your name, email, city and state, studio if you have one, bio, styles, experience, optional rate range, optional headshot, and Travel: On Request status.
03What shows on my public artist profile?
The public profile can show your city, studio, bio, styles, experience, completed work count, rating, rate range, portfolio pieces, and public reviews. Clients use that page to decide whether to request you directly.
04When can clients actually book me?
Clients can book through INK'D after your profile is live and payment onboarding is complete. Stripe onboarding, charges, and payouts all need to be ready before deposit checkout turns on.
05What should I send back in a proposal?
A strong proposal gives the client a clear concept direction, a real price or rate, your earliest opening, and enough portfolio proof to trust the fit. The client compares proposals side by side, so clarity beats a vague reply.
06How does the artist fee ladder work?
The standard platform fee is 5%. If you refer an artist who completes a qualifying paid booking, your per-booking platform fee drops by 0.2%. The ladder currently bottoms out at 4% after five qualifying artist referrals.
07Can I travel or take private bookings?
Yes. Artist signup includes a private-booking travel option, and artist profiles can carry that signal. Keep your location, rates, and availability accurate so clients understand what kind of booking is realistic.
